The flooding in Nashville is hard to believe because it's NASHVILLE, not New Orleans. Street flooding is very common in Nola from rain storms. We experienced a catastrophic flood in Nola from a stalled rainstorm, not a hurricane. We had two feet of water in our one-story house. Lost our wedding pictures, kids books, the bedroom suite of a great-grandmother. Not an experience I care to repeat.
Hands On Nashville is a great organisation. They are coordinating volunteer efforts to help the victims. Check them out!
