Treme

Have you watched the new HBO series set in New Orleans after Katrina? It's called Treme after a neighborhood there. The focus is on musicians as they try to resume their lives. The show was created by David Simon, known for The Corner & The Wire.

A few personal observations: Everything was brown for a long time - not much green. The streets were not clear in many areas and there was NO POWER for much of Orleans Parish.

Warning: this is HBO so there is gratuitous bad language & nudity. The first episode must have set some sort of record for usage of a certain four-letter word.

The theme song by John Boutte is very catchy.
