Waterford Wedgwood Goes Under...

According to this article in the NY Times, Waterford Wedgwood in Britain and Ireland is in receivership. This company has been in business in some form for 250 years. There was one bright spot in the article, however.

The remaining subsidiaries, including those in the United States, Germany and Canada, remain unaffected.

I'm not sure what that means for their customers in the USA, but I hope it means their products will still be available. This vase is the Lismore pattern.

UPDATE: KPS Capital Partners, a U.S. private equity firm, may be buying some assets
from Waterford Wedgwood, according to this article.
