Fun Times...

A Christmas tradition @ our house...making M & M Christmas cookies - with red & green M & Ms of course. Sweet Boy only ate a few - haha! His class @ preschool did a play of the Christmas story this week - he was a wise man. No school till Jan. 5 - yikes!

My New Addiction

I would not usually describe my love for this salad from myrecipes.com (a Southern Living website) as an addiction but it is sooo good & healthy. Spinach, seedless red grapes, feta cheese, & nuts - I used pecans, but I think almonds might be good also. Cover with raspberry-walnut vinaigrette - even in my tiny town Walmart had Newman's Own. YUM!!

Preppy Pink & Green...

Yummy cookies from...Walmart!

I went to run errands today - got lots accomplished.
Returned this dress to BR via UPS. It did not work on me. Mailed a movie I sold on Half.com & went to the discount cleaners ($1.98 per piece). Got this for Sweet Boy - it was on sale & has won all sorts of top toy awards. Found a real bakery - bought some chocolate thumbprint cookies & a few macaroons for Jim Bob. For dinner last night I made Romani's Macaroni Grill box dinner (Creamy Basil - Parmesan Chicken & Pasta) - just add chicken tenders, milk, & butter. When I opened the box I thought it was just enough for a side dish, but it made plenty! We had leftovers. There are several choices available - easy, quick, & yummy!

Baking Cookies...

Sweet Boy is stuck inside with an ear infection, so we decided to bake some M & M Christmas cookies today. He only ate a few M & Ms while decorating!

Blue Moon Lagoon in Nashville, TN

This weekend we went to Nashville for a fun day & ate @ the Blue Moon Lagoon restaurant at Rock Harbor Marina (a former rock quarry) in West Nashville. I've wanted to try it ever since I read about it @ Music City Eats. Our beautiful waitress was from Australia. The food was yummy & the a/c inside was icy cold. There is plenty of outdoor seating, but it was a bit warm in the sun. Sweet Boy got to see water, boats, ducks, & a turtle!
